Who we are
Our Story
This website began with the loss of Konnar in August 2025.
He was a dad, a husband, a son, a brother, an uncle and a friend. He was deeply loved, and his life mattered.
During a severe mental health crisis, Konnar came into contact with hospital services, the police, the courts, and various other services. After his death, our family was left asking how someone could pass through so many points of contact and still be left without the support and protection they needed.
The Issue With the System
When someone is in crisis, they and their family may have to navigate several complicated services at once. Information can be difficult to find, responsibilities may be unclear and each organisation may see only one part of what the person is experiencing.
Many professionals genuinely want to help, but fragmented services and poor communication can leave serious risks overlooked. When no one holds the full picture or takes responsibility for what happens next, people can still fall through the gaps.
What This Website Is Here to Address
This website brings together clear, practical and Scotland-specific information for people experiencing a crisis and those supporting them. It explains what to expect, what questions to ask, where to find help and what to do when support is not right.
We also want to advocate for better communication, accountability and safeguarding across services. It is about building a future where people in crisis are seen, heard, supported and protected before it is too late.
